Recognized for her grace, subtlety, and brilliance, Orli Shaham is praised as a “brilliant pianist” by The New York Times and London’s Guardian declared her performance at the Proms to be “perfection.” She has performed with many of the major orchestras around the world, and has appeared in recital internationally, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. Since 2007 she has been artistic director of Café Ludwig, the Pacific Symphony’s chamber series in California, and was artist-in-residence with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA from 2022 to 2024.
In 2026, Ms. Shaham premiered a concerto for violin and piano by Reena Esmail which Orli commissioned with her brother, violinist Gil Shaham, with the National and Virginia symphonies and at the Aspen Music Festival. Also in 2026, Orli Shaham and Pacific Symphony released an acclaimed album of American chamber music, including commissions by Margaret Brouwer and Avner Dorman alongside works by Reena Esmail, Sarah Kirkland Snider and others. The recording is praised for its “first-class performances” (Pizzicato).
Her 2024 set of complete sonatas by Mozart received critical acclaim worldwide. Shaham’s discography also includes over a dozen titles on Deutsche Grammophon, Canary Classics and other labels. Orli Shaham is on faculty at The Juilliard School and is a co-host and creative for the national radio program From the Top.
